 Este fin de semana se disputó la edición número 42, el GP que ganó gente como; Haslam, Schwantz, Dunlop, Hislop, Foggy, Jefferies, Plater o Rutter, tenía como favorito a Rutter, entre otros, así estaba el top 10 de la parrilla:

La crónica de la carrera:

Stuart Easton has won the Macau Grand Prix for the first time in his career after prevailing in a thrilling exchange between himself and multiple winner Michael Rutter.
A race of two halves, Rutter looked to be out of contention when he slipped four seconds behind the leaders in the early laps, but he gradually reeled Easton in to be just 0.1secs adrift at one point.
However, while the Doosan Honda rider's pace dipped in the latter stages, he was still strong enough to hold on for victory, the Scot extending Britain's winning run in the race to eleven.
Easton, starting sixth, began well to move up to third at the start, behind Rutter and Cameron Donald, the trio getting the better of pole sitter Conor Cummins, who was shuffled down to sixth by the end of the first lap.
However, while six-time winner Rutter would have been considered tough to beat around the Guia circuit, both Donald and Easton were not waiting to find out as they moved through into first and second before quickly pulling away.
Indeed, Isle of Man TT winner Donald was looking a strong prospect on the Relentless Suzuki as he kept a comfortable distance back to Easton. However, his hopes of victory were dashed on lap five when he began slowing down with an apparent mechanical problem.
Allowing Easton up into the lead, he led by Rutter by almost four seconds at one point, but with the North West Ducati rider no longer under pressure from Cummins, who retired with a problem having fought his way back to third, he began to reel his BSB rival in.
Moving to within less than a second of Easton with just six laps remaining, it seemed Rutter's charge would put him in the lead. However, Easton picked up his pace again and while he was very nearly caught out by a stubborn back marker with three laps to go, Rutter couldn't find his way past.
In the end, Rutter dropped back by almost three seconds at the finish line, allowing Easton to join the likes of Steve Plater and John McGuinness on the coveted Macau Grand Prix winner's list.

El ganador:

Stuart Easton has joined motorcycling legends Ron Haslam and Carl Fogarty in winning the Macau Grand Prix after resisting a sustained attack from six-time winner Michael Rutter.
Easton qualified in sixth position aboard the Shaun Muir Racing-run Doosan Honda, but after stating following qualifying that he was confident of a podium position, he made a strong start to move into first by the opening bend.
Third became second on the following lap when he overtook Rutter on the run down to Lisboa, but it wasn't until Cameron Donald retired from the lead that Easton assumed the advantage.
From there he was forced to contend with the attentions of a rejuvenated Rutter, who broke down a substantial advantage to close to within less than a second heading onto the final lap of the race.
Nonetheless, Easton picked up his pace to keep Rutter at bay and win by almost three seconds, much to his delight.
"After qualifying, I told the team that I couldn't fault the bike and was feeling very confident about the race. I got a great start and by the third lap had settled in nicely behind Cameron. Unfortunately for him he retired leaving me with a three-second lead over Michael on the Ducati.
“I think it was fairly even between Michael and myself and during the mid-part of the race I have to admit I was feeling the pressure of leading. In the latter stages we had to clear groups of backmarkers which really focussed my mind and I realised I could win. I pushed hard during the last few laps I really dug deep and eventually finished almost three seconds ahead of Michael."
"I must compliment the team because without doubt that's the best race bike I've ever ridden. The team have worked so hard and the result speaks for itself."
Team owner Muir, meanwhile, was thrilled with Easton's performance, particularly as it was his first outing with the team.
"Stuart rode a hard, fast and more importantly, a safe race on his very first outing for our team and our Macau GP sponsors, Doosan. I could not have hoped for a better outcome and the result is a testimony to all the hard work from all the team."

Así que el duelo Rutter-McGuinnes lo ha ganado Stuart Easton! Toma ya! jajaja
"ni pa ti ni pa mi" y encima con duelo incluido con Rutter. Es que si no llega a ser Easton, Rutter se pasea.
Yo no lo conozco mucho a Easton, si alguien pudiera poner información suplementaria...
Faltaba Plater de todas formas!!!

En Supersport se lo ha llevada Keith Armor con la R6 de AIM, no?

McGuinness lleva muchos años corriendo el GP de Macao con el equipo de Paul Bird. En la foto de Macau 2007 que ha puesto +RAN+ se le puede ver con la decoración verde que tenía el equipo en años anteriores.

En cuando a Stuart Easton lo poco que sé es que es escocés y que este año a competido en el BSB con Kawasaki quedando 13º en el campeonato.

Viendo el GP Macao, el TT parace un circuito de Aspar en cuanto a seguridad y distancias de publico.
Habra que ir a Macao a ver carreras de verdad ... ¿Chino, hay presupuesto? ¿alguien se apunta? ... hablando en serio esto es un tunel de F1 sin mucha historia

Easton fue el campeón de bss más joven de la historia, con 17 años, creo ... con monstermob ducati, con una 748 ... era la gran esperanza del motociclismo británico
luego subió a superbike , pero no tuvo suerte, creo que tuvo una lesión muy gorda ... pero últimamente ha recuperado su carrera.

En cuando a Stuart Easton lo poco que sé es que es escocés y que este año a competido en el BSB con Kawasaki quedando 13º en el campeonato.

Corrió en el Mundial de SS con una Ducati en 2006 y terminó 18º, su mejor resultado fue un 6º
